We are thrilled to have you all here for UAF Film Clubs 2024 Thaw Out Film Festival! This year, we present you with a plethora of student and UAF affiliated films. Many people have poured their heart and souls into the films being premiered tonight, and we hope you enjoy every last one of them. Now sit back and enjoy the show!

“Mending the Net: Elders Mentoring Elders”

"Mending the Net: Elders Mentoring Elders" is a journey through the work of the Denakkanaaga Elders and UAF who together created an “Elders Mentoring Elders” Cultural Camp in which elders and youth gathered to learn traditional activities such as canoe making by our Second Chief Andy Jimmie, fish net making, and drum making. It is our hope that those who have participated in the camp will in turn teach others what they have learned.
